Meet Our Executive Team

Chair: Theresa Peck

Terri has been a supervisor at Child Care Licensing since February 2008. Previous to that she was a director for afterschool and group child care programs in the White Mountains and Lakes Region area. Terri has a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Salem State College as well as a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Iowa and holds both Early Childhood and Afterschool Master Professional Credentials.

Vice Chair/Chair Elect: Amy Upton

Amy Upton holds a Master of Science in Child and Family Studies and is credentialed as an Afterschool and Early Childhood Master Professional, Faculty, Program Consultant and Workshop Trainer. Amy has been in the field of Afterschool for over thirty years, during which time she has founded and directs East Side Learning center in Concord, New Hampshire. East Side provides care for over three hundred children and families. Additionally,
Amy is an adjunct faculty member at New Hampshire Technical Institute and University of New Hampshire.
She is a trainer and consultant for ACROSS New Hampshire and Preschool Technical Assistant Network.

Secretary: Frannie Ashworth

Frances Ashworth attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI for Advertising and Marketing, though she quickly realized her passion was working students and families after spending a year supporting a 4/5th grade classroom in Harrisville, NH. From there she moved into the afterschool field taking the position of Program Director of the Marlborough Harrisville Before and Afterschool Program. In her first year as Program Director she fundraised $15,000 and then went on to establish Marlborough Elementary School’s first afterschool program. Frannie works hand in hand with teachers, community members, and most important families to ensure every student
has what they need to be successful.

Treasurer: Susan Gimilaro

Susan Gimilaro, M.A. is the Project Director for ACROSS NH where she works to provide professional development opportunities, consultation, and TA to afterschool programs in NH. Susan has worked as a consultant, coach, and trainer in a variety of education settings both locally and nationally. She has worked with early childhood programs, after school programs, and public schools, as well as agencies and organizations that support quality initiatives in education. Her work focuses on adults working with youth. Whether in a public school, afterschool program, or child
care program, Susan helps adults bridge current research with their professional practice. She is passionate about
bringing together a community of knowledgeable and skilled educators who can engage, support,
and inspire learning in afterschool staff and our youth.
